Thank you for the update, Helmer. I too am waiting to hear the results and as of April 29 the Prometric site still reads “Tested” under Exam Status. Hopefully they’ll be able to get this sorted out soon.

Thanks for keeping us updated. Absolutely a bad joke what’s prometric is doing in the last couple of years. Most of the beta exams are failing in the first few weeks, tons of errors during exams, and neverending scoring process.

I’m tired of waiting for this idiot LameMetric, I have to pass the exam before teaching a CM12 course as an MCT. I’ll take the exam next week, I hope the live exam’s scoring system won’t be so rhapsodic.

Talked with Microsoft learning, they told me that the exam is live and I should contact prometric to request my score report.
So I emailed with prometric and they told me that the exam is still in beta and i should contact microsoft to request when the beta period ends.
I also called with prometric and they also asked me to contact Microsoft, because they already provided all the results to them.
So it seems both parties don’t know the actual status and where the problem is located…

Great, I guess that was the first and last time I took a beta exam with Microsoft / Prometric.
Over at Citrix / PearsonVUE beta exams at least are free of charge!

Still no results… but I am sure I failed (I do know ‘deployment’ but things like installation of SCCM, working with SQL or migration etc. I don’t have experience with). Strange that some have results while others still haven’t. A colleague of mine did receive his results this morning. I just checked and still: “tested”.

I contacted Prometric and they got rather upset with me. They insisted that I have to contact Microsoft to find out if I passed or failed. The person I spoke to said that the “Exam Status” field in the Candidate History is updated by Microsoft and not them.

We’ll see what Microsoft says.

After this e-mail from Prometric, I spoke with Microsoft. They told me that Prometric is a private company and is responsible for their own data.
The data are stored in a database of Prometric, not by Microsoft. Therefore, Microsoft can not change any data …

Prometric is driving me nuts. I called their customer service line (like I said bellow). They said that they only collect the answers to the exam and transfer them to Microsoft. Microsoft does their own internal scoring and then they update Prometric on the pass/fail status.

So, the customer service rep said I needed to contact Microsoft and gave me a toll free number to call.

I call them and guess what, it’s another department within Prometric. They couldn’t help me and could not explain why the first customer service rep sent me to them. They gave me yet another toll free number to call Microsoft.

I called Microsoft. The gentleman I spoke to said that it is Prometric’s responsability to keep track of the exam results and that they should have been able to provide me my results. He said that Microsoft’s records do not show that I took the exam. He asked that I document everything and email it to him for further investigation.

This is not going well.

Microsoft is telling me that this could NOT be the isue, but since a lot of peers already have their score…and we don’t I start thinking that some scores indeed may be lost…

Well, the person I spoke to at Microsoft CCed me on an email he sent to Prometric. In the email he stated clearly that it is Prometric’s responsability to provide the results and that Microsoft has no way to get that information. He instructed Prometric to provide me with my exam results as soon as possible.

Received an identical message from Microsoft which requested prometric to escalate this issue. They also refered to the process (http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/exam-dev.aspx#tab2), which states that prometric is indeed the company to blame.

Yesterday I filled in the contactform on the prometric website. Today I received the following email:

Dear Candidate,
Thank you for your email.
Please be informed that as per our records the status of your Microsoft exam 071-243 is still not updated on the website.
We have sent your details onto our Reconciliation department in the US, in order to resend the exam result to the client.
As soon as we receive confirmation that this has been done, we will inform you. For your reference, incident number refers to this issue.Once the status of your exam gets updated ,we would be able to provide you the score report of your exam.
Should you have further queries then please contact us again. We hope this information is helpful.

Same on me: Just talked to the German Help Desk: There is a delay with the results and the help desk member gave me a Ticket ID and asked me to wait three more days. So hope for the best!

I got an answer from Microsoft:

Hi Roel,

Prometric is responsible for
communicating the beta results to candidates; we will work with their team to
be sure their customer support provides the correct communication in these
matters. We are in constant communication with Prometric over this issue
because we realize that this this is causing some serious angst (anger) among
our candidates. Yesterday, Prometric indicated that results were starting to
filter through their system, and they anticipated that the rescore process
would be complete by Thursday afternoon. We have requested another follow up
this morning to be sure they are still on target to meet this date, and we’ve
asked our planner to communicate what’s happening with those who are impacted
by this.

I understand your frustration
as I am feeling much the same way. I appreciate your patience and your
perseverance in letting me know that this still isn’t resolved.

Results in for me as well and I’m happy I passed but I don’t feel the test was blueprinted well for the knowledge one really requires to design, deploy, and maintain. Hopefully they’ve adjusted that since beta.

from now. Incase you do not receive the same within the aforementioned time
