The original post was created back in November 2007 en was (only) available in English, but since I received several requests to add some country-live-domains I checked the ‘old-method’ and after a little check I found out that the old-method is still working!
I’m trying hard to keep this blog post actual, but please leave a comment if there is something that isn’t working the way it should so I can fix it.
Finally I would like to thank all the (international) visitors who had mentioned some new localized Live and Hotmail domains to me! Keep them comming via the comments!
To use all the capabilities of the Windows Live Services I would recommend to always use the latest version of Windows Live Essentials. You can download it via http://download.live.com. If you want to download another language version of Live Essentials? Just click this link first.
Just follow the next few steps to creat your own @live.com/@live.nl/@live.be/@live.de etc e-mail address!
Step 1 : Visit http://home.live.com/options/language
Step 2 : Select the language which you want to use to create a @live.* or @hotmail.* e-mail address
Step 3 : Click Save and you will be redirected to the current signup page!
Example :
I want to create a @live.hu e-mail address. I click the link from step 1.
Next I select Hungarian (Magyar) and press the save button below the list of languages. No I can register for an Hugarian e-mail address.
Too bad my Hungarian isn’t that good, but of course you can use Google Translate or Bing Translate to translate the text on the signup page for you.
If your language/country isn’t on the list, you can always use the ‘old procedure’. Click on the link below to create a Live or Hotmail address right away (if you want your country added, please leave a comment) :
