Everybody with a Windows Live Microsoft Account owns one…..a SkyDrive, before today I wasn’t really using it. When I read the new blogpost from Steven Sinofsky on the Building Windows 8 blog I really can start using it…on my Windows 8 PC, my Mac, iPad, iPhone and (last but not least) my Windows Phone!
There is an installer for every operating system (ehh…they forgot the Android version…).Just go to http://apps.live.com/skydrive to download the appropriate version for your device. Check out the screenshots below.
iPad
I already had the iPhone-version running on my iPad, but they new version is finally also brings an iPad-version ![]()

After the upgrade, you have to enter your logon credentials again….

You can create folders, add files, etc..etc..
Too bad you can’t use the whole 25 GB for your storage….there is just 7 GB available to the app.

Windows 8
Just when I finished the iPad version, I installed the Windows version to see what that would bring me. The software is installed in just three steps…

When you logon to SkyDrive you just can point where you want to sync your SkyDrive, and you’re ready!

You’re almost done! You can even fetch files on this pc from other devices, if you check ‘Make files on this PC available…’.

Just wait a few moments…and your current SkyDrive files will appear on your pc!

I can’t wait to play some more with the new SkyDrive App! The only app we now miss on the iPad is definitely Microsoft Office!
